AccMonitor
Combined Web Report Publisher
HiSoftware AccMonitor allows you to monitor your web
site. Most users will create multiple definitions to
match their workgroup or deployment configuration.
The new combined report publisher allows the
AccMonitor user to quickly and without reprocessing
combine all data into a single report allowing for
total accessibility summary of their entire internet
presence. The Utility works with all web types.
Download and Install the Utility
This program combines multiple webs into one
database and publishes reports from it. It order to
use this, all webs to be combined must be of the
same type (Internet-based or file-based or CMS-based
or SharePoint-based). These webs must use file
system based reports, not web based reports. This is
set in the web configuration form for each web. If
you are excluding folders for Internet-based webs,
this option is not considered in the results. If the
same file exists in two webs, the value from the
first web in the list is the one that is used.
Usage
- Step 1
AccMonitor webs will appear in the list. Select
the webs to include in the published reports. The
data from each of the selected webs will be
combined and then published into a single report
group. All webs to be combined must be of the same
type (Internet-based or file-based or CMS-based or
SharePoint-based).Click on the Next button to
continue
- Step 2
Enter a Report Group Name. The Report Group name
name will be the name of the folder, below the
ReportGroups folder, that the reports are
published to. The default location for the report
groups is C:\Program Files\HISC\AccMonitor\FilterReports\ReportGroups\Your
Report Group Name.
- Step 3
Report Settings Project. Since each web can have
its own settings, select a web from the list whose
settings will be used for this combined web
report. For example, if one web reports in 508
mode and the other in W3C mode, the settings of
the one whose settings are chosen will be used.
Keep in mind that this tool does not rerun the
verification for the selected webs based on the
setting selected, it only presents the existing
results from the recorder database using the
settings of the selected Report Settings Web. If
for example, a file failed for a W3C Priority 3
violation and was listed in its own database as
failing for that and then you combined it with a
Section 508 web and assumed the 508 settings, the
file would be listed in the combined report as
failing even though it may not have failed under
Section 508. This is "as designed".
- Step 4
Click on the Publish button to publish the
reports. Reports will be created in a directory
named after the Report Group Name you entered in
Step 2. This directory will be placed in the
Report Groups subfolder of the AccMonitor Recorder
Database Filtered Report location. The summary
report for this new report group will be named
report_ndx.htm and it will open in your default
web browser.
