Kurt A. Mueffelmann is president and chief executive officer of HiSoftware. Mueffelmann draws on over 15 years of experiences in helping high-tech companies reach their growth potential. He is responsible for defining and directing HiSoftware’s worldwide strategic and operational direction, product strategy, sales and market expansion and international growth activities. Additionally, Mueffelmann is a member of HiSoftware’s board of directors.

Prior to joining HiSoftware, Mueffelmann was Vice President and General Manager of both the Document Output Solutions and Business Process Solutions lines of business for Bottomline Technologies. He was responsible for over $40 million in profitable revenue while broadening the product lines and expanding the distribution model to include the creation of an enterprise sales team and a more expansive world-wide channel representation. He has also served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Create!form International, Inc, a document output solutions software company, acquired by Bottomline in September 2003. At Create!form, Kurt grew revenues by over 1,100% in a three year period while being named one of the fastest growing technology firms in the world by Deloitte & Touche. Mueffelmann was also president and CEO of RealWorld Corporation during the late 1990’s. There he led a complete financial turnaround by doubling sales and returning the company to profitability through channel realignment, product expansion, and a true commitment and understanding of customer and industry requirements. He orchestrated RealWorld’s acquisition by Great Plains (Microsoft) in 2000.

Kurt is a managing partner in Westwood Technology Ventures and has served on the board of directors and advisory boards of numerous companies and professional organizations within the technology industry. He holds a BA degree in economics and political science from Fairfield University in Connecticut.
